To bed a 12ft by 12ft stable you will require 7(15kg) bags. Less required if using rubber matting(PelletBeds work best without matting). If the stable already has bedding, move it to the sides.
Spread the pellets around using a pellet fork or rake to produce an even 2″ layer. The bed will expand over time. Mix any existing bedding in with the pellets at this stage.
Watering is only recommended when starting a new bed. Use a watering can/hose to add 5L of water(preferably warm) per bag; mix allowing the pellets to expand before returning the horse.
Remove dropping and very damp spots daily, rake the top 2″ to maintain an even layer. Add pellets as required, @1 bag per week. Watering is not required as our pellets are made softer with high porosity.
Remove droppings and very damp spots daily, raking the bed to maintain an even layer while adding pellets if requitred. Watering is not required, as our pellets are made softer with high porosity. Our pellets will last much longer than wood pellets which require watering each time.
If you prefer to have a deep bed with banks, add additional pellets a little at a time. As the pellets break down add another bag and and wait for it to break down. If you try and make a big bed with several bags straight away, you won’t be able to get a fork through them and the pellets won’t break down.
